Jacobs Leather – a recycled product

The demand for meat, and thus global animal husbandry, is constantly increasing. This results in an ever-increasing amount of hides being generated as a waste product from the meat industry.

Because we only use cowhide, and therefore no hide comes from animals bred for their skin, our production contributes to reducing this amount of waste. The rawhide is upcycled instead of being burned or otherwise disposed of in landfills.

Through our use and processing, we contribute to waste reduction.

From our raw materials, we then further refine a high-quality product that is durable and will provide the user with years of enjoyment.

This longevity of the products is another example of how we, as Jacobs, live up to our commitment to ecological sustainability.
